The Denver Broncos, founded in Denver, Colorado in 1960, were part of the American Football League for the first ten seasons and came into the National Football League for the 1970 season as a result of the merger with the NFL. The Denver Broncos won the AFC West five times in a row, first under Tim Tebow and then under quarterback Peyton Manning, marched twice to the final and snatched the third Super Bowl victory in club history against the Carolina Panthers in Manning's last career year. In the following years after Manning's resignation, the Denver Broncos are still in a low because there was no adequate successor after Elway's resignation, but year after year it is hoped that the dreaded defense will enable a Super Bowl Run.
