Arizona Diamondbacks Caps

Arizona Diamondbacks caps are very popular because of the club's diverse logos. Both the snake curved to the D, the snake head with baseball between the teeth, and the simple A with snake tongue in the middle are very sought after on caps. The colors of the D-Backs also make the caps real eye-catchers. The dark red, the black, and the desert-inspired sand or beige can be found on many of our caps from the Phoenix team. Because of the old team colors, turquoise or purple are also popular, and the side patches often wear these colors as well.

Arizona Diamondbacks - MLB in Phoenix

The Arizona Diamondbacks are the second youngest team in Major League Baseball. Founded in Phoenix and absorbed by a planned expansion of the league in 1998, they have been chasing runs and titles in the National League West ever since. In a request for proposals, the owners at the time asked fans for suggestions for the future team name. After many different ideas, the Diamondbacks were chosen. This was to refer to the region's native rattlesnake species (Western Diamondback) and to identify not only with the city of Phoenix, but with the entire region, which is why Arizona was also used as the first name.

Logos und Team-Colors

Despite the very young history, there have already been some changes to the team colors over the years. It all started with the colors purple and a bluish green, in which the logo, hats and jerseys were kept. Even then, the big A with the snake's tongue in the middle was emblazoned on the hats, or the snake curved into a D. The Diamondbacks were able to use these colors for their team colors. The Diamondbacks won their only World Series title in these colors in 2001. Led by Randy Johnson, the Diamondbacks' greatest player to date, they defeated the NY Yankees in a decisive Game 7 at their home Chase Field.

Chase Field

Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks since 1998, seats 48,000 spectators and was built in the downtown Phoenix area. Due to the very high temperatures, especially in the summer, the ballpark was equipped with a sliding roof. This allowed fans to sit in a cooled stadium despite the hot temperatures. Chase Field was only the second ballpark in the MLB and the first in the USA to have such a movable roof.

D-Backs

Beginning with the 2007 season, the Arizona Diamondbacks competed in a whole new guise. The colors purple and the bluish green, were replaced by a dark red, black and sand color. In addition, the D-Backs name, which has become a nickname among fans over the years, was printed centrally on the jerseys in the chest area. The logos remained unchanged in terms of design but were now presented in the new colors. In 2017, the snake logo, which holds a baseball with its teeth, was added.

World Series & Playoffs

Since then, however, they have not come close to a World Series, as they did in 2001. The D-Backs only made the playoffs four times, but never made it to the World Series, let alone the title. However, the love and sympathy of the fans did not diminish. Despite many down years, they still draw a lot of fans to their games, which gives them an average attendance among the top 15 teams in MLB every year. Currently, Arizona is in the building and development phase. Young players are slowly being integrated into the team or are about to become the new stars of the future from the farm system consisting of the Reno Aces, Amarillo Sod Poodles, Hillsboro Hops and the Visalia Rawhide.
