OAKLAND RAIDERS CAPS GUIDE:

With 13 members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, three Super Bowl wins and twelve division wins, the Oakland Raiders have been one of the most successful teams in the NFL since 1960. New Era manufactures caps in different shapes and colors, whereby caps in the team colors silver and black are bestsellers. Almost as old as the NFL itself, the Oakland Raiders have been an important part of it since 1960. In 1982 the team was forced to move to Los Angeles, where they qualified for the play-offs seven times and won three Superbowls (1976, 1980, 1983). In 1995 they returned to Oakland.

Oakland Caps are currently only available in Europe from New Era, the official outfitter of the NFL.

What types of caps and designs are available?

New Era offers the following versions:

- 59fifty (Fitted Cap with flat peak)
- 39thirty (Fitted Cap with elastic insert and curved peak)
- 9fifty (classic snapback)
- 9forty The League Cap (adjustable cap with curved peak)
- Trucker (Trucker Mesh Cap with snapback)
- Winter hats

Which colors and logos are the most popular?

As with all logos of the NFL teams, there is also a story behind that of the Raiders. Throughout his time in the NFL, the team had five logos, with the current logo in existence since 1995. It shows the head of a pirate wearing a football helmet with two crossed cutters. (The so-called "Raiderhead" is said to be modeled on the face of the American film actor Randolph Scott.) The current logo differs slightly in shape and color from the Throwback logo from 1960 - the "Raiderhead" remains until today.

The majority of raiders fans have at least one classic bestseller cap in the popular team colors silver and black with the current Raiderhead logo.

Especially because of the film "Straight outta Compton" the popularity of Raiders Caps increased enormously. Classic old school and throwback styles have been particularly popular and popular with fans lately.

Most popular caps:

- Classic black with silver Raiders logo
- Black on Black (black cap with black logo)
- Camo peak (black cap with camo peak and classic logo)
- Throwback Cap (with lettering or throwback logo)

Which cap shapes are the most popular?

Many football fans prefer fitted caps. The 59fifty by New Era is one of the most popular caps for NFL fans. If you don't wear the classic fitted caps with a flat peak, the 39thirty is a fitted alternative with a curved peak. Furthermore, classic snapback caps like the 9fifty or 9forty are another classic alternative that can be optimally adapted to your head.
