The Brooklyn Nets started in 1967 as New York Americans in the ABA, a competitive NBA league. After a year they moved to Long Island and renamed themselves the New York Nets. In 1973 the Nets signed Julius Erving and got me Dr. J the first title. In 1977 the ABA was dissolved and the Nets joined the NBA as New Jersey Nets - since the Knicks already existed in New York. After years of failure, the Nets reached the playoffs with their new star Drazen Petrovic in the early 90s. After his sudden death, it was not until the 2000s that the New Jersey Nets were able to celebrate success again. In 2002 and 2003 they were each in the NBA Finals, but lost to the Lakers and Spurs. With the departure of the trio Jason Kidd, Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson, however, the Nets disappeared again into insignificance at the end of the 2000s. In 2012 the team was relocated to Brooklyn. With Jason Kidd as coach and the trades of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry, Brooklyn was hoping for a successful time. In retrospect, however, the trade turned out to be a failure, the aging stars were unable to bring the Nets any success and the draft picks that were given away meant that the Nets could not sign new talent in the future either. Only in 2018 could you reach the playoffs with talented players. In the offseason, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, two absolute stars were signed, with which the Brooklyn Nets cap sales also skyrocketed.

What colors and logos are most popular from Brooklyn Nets caps?

The current Brooklyn Nets logo features a black sign with a white basketball with a B inside. Above this, Nets can be read in a slightly curved font, while Brooklyn is written below the sign. The logo is intended to be reminiscent of old New York subway signs and has been in use since 2013. Before that, the New Jersey Nets had blue and red as their team colors, which was also reflected in the logos. From 1998-2012 the Nets had a 3-D logo, which showed a similar sign, but with a ring around the ball. In 1991-97 a bold Nets lettering with a ball underneath and a blue-white-red gradient was used as a logo. The first NBA logo as New Jersey Nets appeared in 1979 with a blue and red circle showing the state of New Jersey and the team name in white in a simple font. The ABA logos in front were with curved Nets lettering and the three-colored ABA basketball in blah-white-red. The current Brooklyn Nets caps are mostly black, gray or white and have the team logo or, as a variation, the basketball with B as a motif. The Oldschool New Jersey Nets Caps are mostly in red / blue and are quite rare to find.

Most popular caps:

- Black curved cap with the latest logo
- Black fitted cap with logo in copper
- Navy fitted cap with the latest logo
- Black snapback cap with current logo
- Black snapback cap with oldschool logo

Which Brooklyn Nets cap shapes are the most popular?

The history of the Brooklyn Nets is deeply rooted in New York's hip hop culture. This is why many New Era 59Fifty caps with the Brooklyn Nets logo are worn, as well as the snapback caps 9Fifty and Mitchell & Ness that became popular in the 90s. For all other fans there are classically curved baseball caps such as the New Era 9Forty or the new Mitchell & Ness 110 Flexfit Cap.
