Buffalo Bills Caps

Although the last title of the Buffalo Bills dates back to 1965, the Hardcore Bills fans - the so-called Bills Mafia - keep talking about crazy actions during tailgaiting before the games. Even when the Bills led by legendary quarterback Jim Kelly were defeated four times in a row in the Super Bowl between 1990 and 1993, the supporters remained loyal and always look positively to the future.

The history of the Buffalo Bills goes back a long way. The franchise has existed under this name in the metropolitan region of Niagara Falls since 1960. Even then, blue and white were among the colors of the Buffalo franchise. The third color, silver, was replaced only two years later by the red that still exists today. After playing for the first nine years in what was then the AFL (American Football League), the union with the NFL followed in 1970, in the course of which the Buffalo Bills came into the league. While two AFL titles could be brought to Buffalo before the merger, the Bills struggled in the early days in the NFL. But soon a Buffalo Bills dynasty developed, the only thing missing was the crowning glory. Because although the Bills came to the playoffs ten times from 1988 to 1999 and were in the Super Bowl four times in a row from 1990 to 1993, the huge success has so far been denied. The then quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, Jim Kelly, still enjoys legendary status with the Bills fans. Buffalo Bills Caps are currently only available in Europe from New Era.

What types of caps and designs are there?

New Era offers the following versions:

- 39thirty (fitted cap with curved peak)
- 59fifty (fitted cap with flat peak)
- 9fifty (classic snapback cap)
- 59Fifty Salute to Service Cap
- Winterhats

Which colors and logos are the most popular?

Although the Buffalo Bills are a traditional NFL franchise, the variations on historical logos are limited. The current logo of the Buffalo Bills, a jumping bison in blue color with a red line, was introduced in 1974. Today, this logo adorns the vast majority of Buffalo Bills caps. Another logo that can still be found on Buffalo Bills NFL caps is the simple red standing bison, which served as a coat of arms in the previous three years. The crests of the previous years, which show bison and Buffalo Bills football players side by side on a football, are hardly used anymore these days. Most fans of the Buffalo Bills have a cap in the team colors blue and red, with the current Bills logo on the front.

Most popular caps:

- Klassisches Snapback (blue with current logo)
- Throwback Cap (blue cap with Throwback Bills logo)
- Salute to Service 59Fifty (fitted cap in army colors)
- Draft Snapback Cap (9Fifty Snapback from New Era)
- Sideline Knit (New Era winter hat)

Which cap shapes are most popular with NFL caps?

New Era Fitted Caps (59fifty & 39thirty) are the most popular caps among NFL fans. The best-selling fitted caps of the Buffalo Bills have the current blue and red logo embroidered on the front. In addition to the New Era Fitted Caps, we also offer snapback variants such as the New Era 9Fifty, which are particularly popular with old school fans. Also very popular with NFL fans are the Sideline Caps or the Draft Caps from New Era, because the NFL players also wear these caps. For the cold season - typical of Buffalo - the original Sideline winter hats from New Era are ideal.
